My Graduated Pen

In the halls of Delhi University, where memories reside,
My graduation day, a journey's joyful stride. Those college days, so beautiful and free, Where friends and laughter filled our hearts with joy.

From home to college, a daily trek,
Skipping classes, but no regrets to check. Canteen time, a cherished space,
Where friendships bloomed, and smiles found their place.

After lab snacks, a simple delight,
Bitching and sharing stories, day or night. Assignments piled high, we had face the stress,
But together, we had conquer each academic mess.

WhatsApp chats and the college group, Threads of connection, a friendship loop. Tiffin and banter, a steric hindrance,
Moments we cherished, with pure exuberance.

Now we have access to plenty and more,
Yet those college days, we can't restore.
No wealth can buy the times we shared,
The joy and love, the moments we cared.

Flat parties and future dreams,
Promises made, or so it seems.
Post-college meets, a hopeful desire,
In our hearts, these memories won't expire.

Though time has passed, and days have flown,
In our hearts, those memories have grown. Simple words can't capture the whole,
But in this poem, a glimpse of our soul.

  1. I resonate with it but these lines smell like some unnurtured forces of attraction as well ☺
